New Stokes Guides for Eastern and Western Birds!

StokesfieldguidetobirdsOn March 26th, Donald and Lillian Stokes published the new Stokes Field Guide to Birds, Eastern Region and the Stokes Field Guide to Birds, Western RegionOn the 10 days proceeding the 26th, Donald and Lillian Stokes held a bird photo quiz contest at their blog to win copies of the new book.

Each day a mystery bird photo was posted and participants had to identify the bird and send the answer in. Some of the birds were: a 3rd winter Lesser Black-backed Gull, a winter plumage Red Knot, a winter plumage Bobolink, and a female Pine Warbler.

At the end of the 10 days, 10 winners were announced and I was very excited to be one of them! I can’t wait to read through the guides and review them.

Thank you very much, Mrs. and Mr. Stokes, for holding such a fun contest and for being willing to ship to Canada.
