Feathers on Friday

I can’t wait for the American Tree Sparrows to arrive in March, they are usually the first passerines to migrate through our area. They stay only about two weeks, then migrate further North.

  1. You make me feel very lucky Charlotte – there are several American tree sparrows that winter at my home along with the juncoes, white-breasted nuthatches (wish I had some rose-breasted ones but they seem to prefer the more urban environments) chickadees and American Goldfinches. along with the resident house sparrows. I love it when the white-crowned and white throated sparrows pass through… they are also a delight.

Funny I don’t know the song that Bob Chase mentions. I’ll have to pay more attention. Great post!
