For the past week or so I had noticed flocks of sparrow-type birds but was unable to identify them because each time I saw them I didn’t have my binoculars. But on Sunday I brought them with me, so I was able to identify the flock of birds as Lapland Longspurs. The only problem was that I didn’t have my camera with me. Today I went out with my camera to take a few photos.
I would have taken many more photos of the Lapland Longspurs and Horned Larks, but — one more problem — the batteries died!
There were quite a few Horned Larks in the flocks of Lapland Longspurs,
There were about 200+ Lapland Longspurs in the flock,
